Dele Ladimeji is a London born music producer, song writer and a singer.
He has written Spice Girls' singer Mel C's songs Beautiful Intentions and Take Your Pleasure with Melanie Chisholm and Paul Boddy. Beautiful Intentions album has sold more than 1,000,000 copies worldwide making it as one of the most successful independent albums of all time.
Ladimeji has also co-written NYC Boys single Dial Up, which went to number one in the Japanese singles charts. , the track stayed in the Japanese top 10 for more than a month – making the group the youngest-ever to reach the Japanese top spot with a debut single.[1]
Writer/Producer Silvertongue/Dele Ladimeji is a graduate of the ground breaking Middlerow Records. Dele has written and produced with a diverse range of artists including Bill Burnette (formally of Fleetwood Mac), Natasha Beddingfield,Tania Foster (rolldeep). Dele enjoyed success with “Lookin’ Back” Route 33 feat Alex James (Apollo) Universal Records UK. It was heavily played on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show/Kiss and Capitol. It made the Radio 1 B list and A list on Capitol and featured on Pete Tong’s essential CD 2006 and was one of 3 Top 10 UK compilations. JAPAN Dele penned a Platinum Selling ORICON CHART Japanese No. 1 Summer Anthem “Dial UP” by Nakayama Yuma with BI Shadow/NYC Boys, in July 2009 selling 330,000 singles to date (Johnnys Entertainment). Dele also penned the 2008 Japanese summer anthem "Sexy Senorita" with German Uber producer Daniel Nitt. After numerous releases he gave the new priority AVEX artist Tanimura Nana her first ORICON TOP 10 released in August 2008.Sexy senoriota was then remixed and released by Huge japanese Urban DJ Mayumi and was also featured on the prestigious Avex summary album "anation 09 BEST HIT LIVE " which peaked at NO4 on the Oricon DVD Chart .“Dial Up” by Japanese band NYC was the 13th biggest seller of the year over 330,000 singles to date platinum ORICON CHARTS. Dele/Silvertongue wrote “Make u wet” on the (Cartoon)II Kattun Album , which was certified Double Platinum (RIAJ). Mr Q by Jolin Tsai ,was one of the now very popular HIT singles off the 2 million selling Dancing Diva Album .Mr Q having a 30 week No1 run .It was written with Nervo twins. Mr Q appeared on the 2009 Album "Jolin Generation" which reached No.2 in the G-music. Dele wrote debut the single for girl band HOTCHA called VANILLA .This was a Top 5 Chinese chart Hit for 5 weeks in April 2007 released by Newaystar a Hong Kong Label.Vanilla appeared in the bands first greatest hits complitaion in August 2010 "Our Favorites New + Best Selections". 2010 saw Dele with a track on a No. 1 album with Young japanese Johnnys BAND“Hey Say Jump”.(Hey!Say!2010jump) EUROPE Dele also penned the Netherlands 2008 POP-IDOL runner-up Debut Single and TOP 10 hit “I Won’t Forget” (SONYBMG) in February 2009, the song was remixed by Paul van Dyk as the official summer track for the Oakenfold/Van Dyke inspired Album DANCE4LIFE.The song had previously been released by POP -IDOL runner up in South Africa "Jacques ft pebbles2 “Trick Me” was cut by German artist Zasha Moktan (Universal), “I Won’t Forget” was recorded by Dutch Idol singer Nathalie (SonyBMG) Other success has been former SPICE GIRL Melanie C's platinum selling album "Beautiful Intentions". Dele co-wrote the title track and "Take Your Pleasure" which entered the UK album charts at No. 10, was also No. 1 in Portugal for at least 11 weeks and was Platinum in Switzerland, Germany and Austria and selling in excess of 400,000 units. He has recently written with Joe Janiak, Joe Rose and Pete Conaty and co-wrote with Jay Sean (who had huge chart success in the US and a No. 1 single)
Dele also wrote and performed The Title track for BBC1 childrens Prime time Youth Comedy KERCHING ! RUDEBOY
He is currently signed in Peermusic London.[2]
